A beatbox choir. A film soundtrack. A human orchestra. Learn to use your voice in ways that you never imagined! Whether you are an amateur choir singer curious about experimenting with your voice or an experienced improviser and mouth drummer, you will be challenged to push your limits.
Three inspirational clinicians will combine their years of rhythm section experience to guide you safely through three intense days of exploration and improvisation, and help bring out the beatboxer in you:

In addition to the basic sounds and techniques of beatboxing and vocal percussion, you will get tips on creating "special effect sounds", genre-specific grooves, and tried-and-tested microphone techniques. But don’t fear…you also get to sing! Through the course of the workshops, singing will play an important part in warmup exercises, improv games, and groove composition.
Bring your voice and your imagination. Leave your inhibitions and preconceptions at the door. Discover the beauty of beatbox…and beyond!
A common concert in the evening of the 30.September 2009 will be the conclusion.
Target group: Singers who are interested in "Beatboxing".
Previous knowledge is not necessary.The participants will be divided temporarily during the workshop in different groups (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
